AlphaIMS

Built by BambooIQ

Enterprise-grade operations, built for engineering SMEs.

A productised platform built on a single data model — covering people, projects, suppliers, assets, assurance, resource, and ESG. The same system extends to new clients without rebuild.

Why It Exists

The economics of building operational software have changed.

Engineering SMEs run delivery on fragmented tools that don't share data — with enterprise alternatives priced and scoped for organisations ten times their size. The new government funding period demands demonstrable supply-chain efficiency, and neither option meets it.

Low-code platforms and AI-assisted coding have collapsed the cost of building enterprise-grade software. A unified data model replaces the seams between fragmented systems. Direct API integration with authoritative sources replaces manual data entry and reconciliation. AlphaIMS is what that combination produces.

The gap between what engineering SMEs are expected to demonstrate and what their tools can produce is becoming an existential issue for SMEs in the tier-one supply chain. AlphaIMS closes it.

What It Does

One system. One data model. Covering the whole operation.

Designed around how engineering SMEs actually work — not how enterprise software thinks they should.

  • People — workforce management, competency, training records
  • Projects — live project tracking, resource allocation, margin visibility
  • Suppliers — supplier qualification, performance tracking, audit trails
  • Assets — asset register, maintenance scheduling, condition tracking
  • Assurance — compliance evidence, audit-ready documentation
  • Resource — planning, utilisation, forecasting
  • ESG — emissions tracking, sustainability reporting

Connected to authoritative external sources through one API gateway — DVLA for fleet and driver currency, Companies House for contractor verification, with HMRC, HSE, and accreditation bodies on the same pattern.

How It Works

Compliance evidence assembles itself as the work happens.

Daily operational admin runs through one system. Real-time licence currency, vehicle status, and contractor verification happen automatically — not as periodic admin exercises.

A worked example — fleet allocation

Allocating a fleet vehicle traditionally takes three roles, several systems, and a paper trail. In AlphaIMS it collapses into one record — staff onboarded once into People, vehicle allocated from Assets, DVLA APIs returning licence currency and vehicle status automatically, risk assessments computing against current data, and field-logged inspections flowing back into the same asset record.

Fleet allocation flow showing DVLA API feeding into People and Assets modules, producing automated risk assessment, driver notification, and inspection data capture.

Fig. 02 — People + Assets, augmented by the regulator

Before

  • Periodic manual collection of licence data
  • Risk assessments authored by hand
  • Separate spreadsheets for MOT and tax dates
  • Paper inspection forms re-keyed by admin
  • Coordination across HR, fleet, and line managers

After

  • Licence verification continuous, not annual
  • Risk assessments compute against current data
  • MOT and tax expiry surfaces before it lapses
  • Inspections and faults logged to the asset record
  • Audit trail built in, not bolted on

The Impact

The numbers from the first clients.

80%

reduction in admin forms

Up to 70%

less time spent on admin

Real-time

compliance tracking, end-to-end

The client base has doubled since development began. The same platform extends to new clients without bespoke rework.
